Downloads
The easiest way to get ShelfKeeper is from Google Play, which also keeps it up to date:
Everything else is here: the app as a file you install yourself, and the optional server. New to this? Read Get started.
Android app (APK)
Android warns about "installs from this browser", or Play Protect shows a warning, because the file did not come from Google Play. Tap More details -> Install anyway to continue. To check the file is ours, see below.
Verifying it
The signing certificate's SHA-256 fingerprint, stable for the life of the key (a new build changes the APK, never this):
d3:27:f9:28:93:5e:dc:9a:20:11:71:37:88:2b:aa:22:6a:af:04:45:06:d3:d2:00:0b:14:a0:91:70:8c:a6:24
Same fingerprint, as apksigner prints it without colons:
d327f928935edc9a20117137882baa226aaf044506d3d2000b14a091708ca624
DN: CN=ShelfKeeper, O=ShelfKeeper, C=GB
Check the certificate with apksigner:
apksigner verify --print-certs shelfkeeper.apk
Every release also gets its own file hashes, in /beta/SHA256SUMS:
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing
Automatic updates
Point Obtainium at the direct APK URL above; each release keeps the same file name, so Obtainium picks up updates on its own.
Server (optional)
The app does not need a server. Run one if you want an always-on copy of the household's stock, a web interface or agent access; see Get started.
Debian, Ubuntu 24.04+, or Raspberry Pi OS (32- or 64-bit)? Use the apt route instead – it installs and updates itself. The binaries below are for other Linux.
Pick the one that matches your machine, plus the install script:
- shelfkeeperd-linux-amd64
- shelfkeeperd-linux-arm64
- shelfkeeperd-linux-armv6 (Raspberry Pi Zero/1)
- install-service.sh
See Get started for how to run it.
